I have a couple of ideas for those 2 new projects I want to add to the Christmas gift idea list. I hope to decide over the next week what to add.

Christmas Knitting Goals Update

The Sweater Experiment
Well, I've been busy working on my sweater. I am almost done with the back panel. I'm still working on the armhole shaping, but I am happy with the progress. I'm a bit disappointed in the way the pattern is written. It isn't always clear what they are asking me to do. Luckily, I have some friends who are a great help to me with things like that! Thanks to all my knitting friends who have helped me get this far! You guys are the greatest!
My First Cable
Well I did it! I made my first cable. It wasn't so difficult after all. I wanted to practice making a cable so when it came time to start that first square of the afghan I would be ready. The next thing to try is the bobble. That is on tomorrow's list of things to knit! I'll keep you posted. In the mean time if you want to see how a cable is done check out the link I posted.

Sweater Update!

The Sweater Experiment
The pattern is Montera Heathered Tuck Bodice Cardigan and is designed by Pam Allen. I'm planning on starting it tomorrow when I meet some of my knitting buddies at a local yarn shop. I'm still a bit intimidated by the idea of a sweater, but the yarn is so lovely and the idea of a new warm sweater so inviting that I find I can't wait!
Christmas Knitting Goals
Without goals I tend to wander aimlessly through life. This year I am going to set some goals so that when Christmas rolls around I will be ready! I have set a goal to make 2 dishcloths a week. We'll see if I make it. I also am making it a goal to find 2 more gift ideas by October 8th. When I find ideas I'll create a poll to see what you guys think. Wish me luck!
